ABOUT

Laura is a versatile performer, writer and producer of Italian heritage. 

She has performed with several companies around Brisbane, and is currently concentrating her time on bringing her own work to the stage.

 

Laura’s stories focus on CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) issues and on women stories. She wants to provide audiences with different perspectives to promote a welcoming and integrated environment that joins the passion for theatre and diversity.

 

Laura is committed to provide paid opportunity to performers and creatives and provide arts with relevant and sustainable jobs. Her enthusiasm in contributing to the success of theatre productions is outstanding and beneficial to the development of the theatre community. 

 

Her first solo cabaret Do you hear something funny?, has been presented with successful feedback at Short and Sweet in 2021 and was developed in a full show (Power, Language and Love) and performed in 2022. It was also recognised as one of the best independent productions of 2022 by Theatre Haus.

Other original works also include: Triple Threat: a Cabaret (Toucan Club 2023) and the short jukebox musical It is what it is, winner of Best Play at Act 1 TheatreFest 2022.

 

Laura’s credits as a performer include Tina in Motherhood the Musical (Bent Production 2024) Lady of the Lake in Spamalot (Brisbane Arts Theatre), Magda in Ladies in Black (Brisbane Arts Theatre), Lucy in Jekyll and Hyde (Bunbury Musical Comedy Group, WA), Marianne Renate in Shout! The Legend of the Wild One (Beenleigh Theatre Group), Eudora Brice in The Witches of Eastwick (24 Hour Musical Project 2018) just to name a few.

 

Her first short movie, The Great Salame Breakout, was presented at Australian and international festivals with outstanding achievements (winner of Best Comedy Short at Accord Cine Festival, New Jersey Film Awards, Onyko Films Awards and Rome International Movie Awards, to name a few)
