For Triple Threat A Cabaret: "All three performers had sensational voices, good comedic timing, and a great onstage rapport with one another. Their performance of simple, but effective, choreography by Sara Jane Aistrope was well-coordinated and lighting design by Ava Moschetti and Laura McKenna was colourful and dynamic, using dramatic spotlights and disco balls and often changing on the beat. Triple Threat was a highly entertaining cabaret performance, reflecting on the nature of communication and connection as well as showcasing the talent of local CALD performers. Between songs, the three women discussed experiences of immigration, casual racism, miscommunication, and stereotypes. They also reflected on the many different reasons that people choose to leave their home countries – safety and security, opportunity, adventure, and more – as well as the courage that it takes to uproot your life and start over in a completely different place, language, and culture." For Power, Language and Love: "Then came the fiery Laura Fois, an Italian who moved to Australia. Fois discussed the many issues related to language in a country like Australia. Fois commanded the stage with her magnificent singing while showing an honest reflection of her struggles. Either through jokes or honesty, Fois managed the tone and pace of her performance with great skill. An absolute highlight was Fois’ rendition of ‘A Whole New World’ with a gentleman from the audience. Fois was a force to be reckoned with and left the audience in stitches" Theatre Haus. For Destiny Doomed: "Laura Fois plays the dual roles of Blathnaid and Scathach with skill. Fois magnificently shows two extremes of feminism. Fois’s protrayal of Scathach, the brutal tribe leader (and man hater), is hard hitting. On the other side, her take on Blathnaid is softer, showcasing her love for Deridre and pushing for the equality of the sexes. One line from Blathnaid sticks out: “She is not your property”. It is baffling that some women are still treated like property for sale today. Destiny Doomed comments on this fantastically" Bravo Brisbane. Read the full review here
For Spamalot: "Outstanding, in a uniformly good strong cast, were Alexander Thanasoulis as Arthur and Laura Fois as the Lady of the Lake. Both gave clear convincing performances throughout." Stage Whispers. Read the full review here
For Ladies in Black: "Laura Fois’s portrayal of Magda was an absolute hoot right down to the Hungarian accent. She was a feisty little package and I particularly liked the New Year party scene where she was being the hostess with the ‘mostess’ and making sure everyone was paired up, enjoying themselves and not getting too drunk."
